Armstrong Rescues Mississippi Woman From Burning Home

Former Nebraska quarterback Tommy Armstrong Jr. helped rescue a woman from a burning home in Gulfport, Mississippi this week.

Armstrong was visiting his mother, Nadine, when the fire broke out at a neighbor’s house Monday night.  Several people were able to escape on their own, but Armstrong told a local TV station he threw bricks through a window, crawled inside and got the woman out of the house.  Some of the people inside were taken to a hospital for treatment.

In a tweet yesterday, Armstrong said, “Hug your family extra tight and always tell them how much you appreciate them.  Life is too precious.”
