Aquinas Catholic finished first in the boys division of the NSAA Cup final standings for the past school year.

The annual awards program began in the fall of 2006 to recognize the state’s most successful high school athletic and fine arts programs.  Winners are determined by a points system with points earned partly by how schools perform in state championship events.

Aquinas won the boys division for Class C with 217.5 points, 27.5 points ahead of second-place Adams Central.  In the Class C all-school division for boys and girls, GICC was the winning school, the Monarchs were fifth, Scotus earned ninth and North Bend Central was number 10.

Humphrey St. Francis was runner-up to Bancroft-Rosalie in the Class D all-school division.  In the Class D boys division, the Flyers finished third with the Panthers again on top.

In the girls final standings, Lincoln Lutheran was number one in Class C, with North Bend fourth and Scotus number seven.  Archbishop Bergan’s girls finished first in Class D, ahead of second-ranked St. Francis.
