Andrews Repeats as Softball All-American, NU Adds Transfer
Nebraska softball’s Billie Andrews was named a third-team All-American yesterday.
The senior shortstop earned the recognition for the second straight season, becoming the 10th player in Husker history to be a two-time All-American. Andrews led NU in most offensive categories this past season. The Gretna native hit .383 with 18 home runs and 45 RBI.
Also, Nebraska has added talented middle infielder Ava Kuszak to its 2025 roster. Kuszak is transferring to NU after spending the past two seasons at Wisconsin.
Kuszak earned second-team All-Big Ten and third-team all-region honors last season as a sophomore. The Broomfield, Colorado native hit .318 with 15 doubles, one triple, nine home runs, 32 RBI and 31 runs. She also posted a .599 slugging percentage.
