American Legion Baseball Preview for Local Teams

In American Legion baseball, the Columbus Cornerstone Seniors and OneNebraska Junior Blues are scheduled to host Lincoln North Star this evening. 

First pitch for the Junior Blues’ game at Pawnee Park’s Legion Field is set for 5 p.m. with the Seniors’ contest to begin around 7:30. 

The Lakeview Bank of the Valley Seniors are slated to meet Arlington in the Ralph Bishop League tournament.  This evening’s game in West Point is set for a 5:30 p.m. first pitch. 

The league’s junior tournament had its games rained out Monday.  Lakeview Bank of the Valley Juniors, seeded No. 1 in the tourney’s South Division, will take on fourth-seeded Arlington Wednesday at 8 p.m., following a 5:30 p.m. game between No. 2 Pender and third-seeded West Point.  Both of those games tomorrow will be played at Pawnee Park. 

To accommodate that, the Columbus Owens Wealth Advisors Junior Reds canceled Wednesday’s scheduled home doubleheader against Elkhorn North.
