All Three Local Girls Golf Teams Competed Tuesday

In girls’ golf, Scotus won the Lakeview Triangular yesterday at Quail Run, while the host Vikings finished second and Fullerton was third. 

The Shamrocks were led by freshman Cecilia Arndt, who shot a 3-over 38 for the triangular’s best individual score.  In the team scoring, Scotus posted a 186, Lakeview carded a 203 and Fullerton fired a 216. 

Meantime, Columbus finished 13th out of 17 teams competing in yesterday’s Lincoln Pius X Shootout. 

The Discoverers had a team score of 397, led by Jacey Hughes’ score of 90 at Woodland Hills.  Millard North won the tourney with a 328, one stroke better than Pius.
