All Three City Prep Football Teams Prepare for Playoffs

For the fourth time in this city’s history, all three local high school football teams have qualified for the playoffs.  The Class A and C1 playoffs kick off on Friday and Columbus High, Lakeview and Scotus will all play in 7 p.m. games. 

In Class A, the ninth-seeded Discoverers have a rematch at eighth-seeded North Platte, after beating the Bulldogs 38-28 in Columbus last Friday.  That game will air on 93.5 The Hawk. 

In C1 action, Scotus is the number 4 seed and will host 13-seed Fort Calhoun on KLIR 101.  And 11th-seeded Lakeview will visit number 6 seed Milford on KZ-100. 

A second round D2 playoff game Friday afternoon can also be heard on The Hawk, as Osceola hosts Leyton at 3 p.m.
