Yesterday marked the first day of practice for Saturday’s Shrine Bowl. According to media reports, all 90 players were able to begin practice yesterday in Kearney after passing health protocols and temperature checks.
The North and South teams will continue practicing through Thursday. On Friday, the Shrine Bowl seniors will meet patients during the day and attend a players’ awards banquet at night.
The 62nd annual Shrine Bowl has a 2 p.m. kickoff time Saturday at Cope Stadium on the UNK campus. You can hear play-by-play of the game on KZ-100 and at mycentralnebraska.com.
