Creighton’s Ty-Shon Alexander is still in the running for the Jerry West Shooting Guard of the Year Award.

It was announced today that a national committee of top college basketball personnel narrowed down the award’s watch list from 20 names to just 10 candidates.

In its sixth year, the annual honor recognizes the top shooting guard in Division I men’s college basketball.

Alexander leads the Bluejays with 16.5 points per game.  He’s shooting 43 percent from the floor, better than 39 percent from 3-point range and over 85 percent from the foul line.
