70 Americans To Be Quarantined In Ashland

ASHLAND- Nebraska Medicine and the University of Nebraska Medical Center are set to receive American citizens who are coming from China to escape from the deadly coronavirus.

A plane carrying 70 rescued Americans and their families now working in China is arriving At Eppley Airfield in Omaha on Friday. The effort is part of a plan to bring hundreds of Americans home from China because of the ongoing coronavirus outbreak. The individuals will be monitored for 14 days at Camp Ashland, an Army National Guard Camp outside of Ashland and all will be tested and retested for the infection.

Once the rescued Americans finish their 14-day monitoring period and public health experts are convinced they are not exhibiting symptoms or laboratory signs of the coronavirus, they will be sent home.
