The winners of the 36th annual KLIR Prep Club Awards are: CJ Fleeman and Addi Duranski from Columbus High, Josh Faust and Kamryn Chohon of Scotus, and Lakeview’s Logan Jaixen and Reese Janssen.

The six were chosen in voting by KLIR Prep Club sponsors.  Each winner will receive a plaque and a $500 scholarship from KLIR 101.

As the Discoverers quarterback, Fleeman passed for over 1,000 yards as a junior, but suffered a season-ending knee injury in the opening game of his senior season.  He has recovered to be a leader of the CHS baseball club.  Duranski was a key cog of the volleyball, basketball and tennis teams in her Columbus High career.  As a senior, Duranski received All-State honorable mention in volleyball.

She was named All-Conference and received All-State honorable mention in volleyball and basketball last season and has been the soccer club’s captain the past two years.

Jaixen was one of the most successful wrestlers in Lakeview history.  He qualified twice for the state wrestling meet, claiming a fifth place medal last season. Jaixen has also been a big part of Lakeview’s football and golf teams the past four years.  Janssen re-wrote the Lakeview volleyball record books, as she owns several school records.  She was a three-year starter in basketball, leading the Vikings in scoring the last two seasons.  In just her second year of playing soccer this season, Janssen has become one of the team’s top scorers.
