Rhule to Have People Outside the Program Look at the Huskers

Nebraska football coach Matt Rhule told reporters yesterday that quarterback Dylan Raiola is expected to play at USC next Saturday.

Rhule said the freshman QB suffered a contusion to his back and spine in the Huskers loss to UCLA last Saturday.  Rhule also said running back Rahmir Johnson hurt his ankle and couldn’t finish the game against the Bruins.  His status seems to be day-to-day.

With NU’s offense in a funk, Rhule was asked if he’s looking at things to jump-start that unit.  “I have a lot of friends in the business,” Rhule said.  “I’ve had some outside people come in and tell me what they see.  In my history, that’s one of the best things you can do, have a fresh set of eyes look at it.  I’m going to have some people I trust to look at us both on offense and defense and look at what we’re doing and then go from there.”

It was announced by the Big Ten yesterday the Huskers game at USC on November 16th will have a 3 p.m. kickoff and will be televised on FOX.  Play-by-play will also be aired on News Talk 900 KJSK and 93.5 The Hawk.
