Rhule’s Huskers Meet Sanders’ Buffs in Boulder Tomorrow

Matt Rhule and Nebraska visit Deion Sanders and Colorado tomorrow as the two first-year coaches’ teams renew their rivalry.

Following yesterday’s practice, Rhule said the Huskers offense needs to keep the football for more plays than it had at Minnesota.

“I think for us, it’s converting third downs and not turning the ball over,” Rhule said.  “And then on defense, I’ve challenged those guys to be good on third down.  You look at what Colorado did in the last game.  I think they were five-for-five touchdowns in the red zone and they were good on third down.  So, we have to be good on third down defense and we have to try to take the ball away.”

Saturday’s kickoff is set for 11 a.m.  The pregame starts at 7 a.m. on News Talk 900 KJSK.  It will be joined at 10:30 on 93.5 The Hawk.
