NU’s Rodriguez, CU’s Sis Earn Weekly Volleyball Honors

Nebraska libero Lexi Rodriguez was named yesterday Big Ten Co-Defensive Player of the Week. 

Rodriguez averaged 6.00 digs per set in the Huskers’ sweeps at Michigan State and Michigan last week. 

Meanwhile, Creighton’s Norah Sis was named Big East Offensive Player of the Week.  Sis averaged 4.62 kills per set to lead the Bluejays to road wins at UConn and Providence over the weekend. 

In Monday’s weekly AVCA poll, NU stayed at No. 3, while CU remained 21st. 

Both teams will next play on Friday, with Nebraska hosting No. 14 Penn State and Creighton entertaining 16th-ranked Marquette.
