Daniels Blames Missed Tackles on Poor Execution

With Saturday’s second half collapse at Colorado, Nebraska has lost after leading in the second half in five of 14 games under coach Scott Frost.  NU blew a 17-0 halftime lead in losing to the Buffs 34-31 in overtime.

Husker defensive lineman Darrion Daniels said yesterday the defense’s missed tackles in the second half of that game were due to poor execution.  “We did some corrections today,” Daniels said. “We knew where we messed up. So, that’s the positive out of it.”

NU hosts Northern Illinois – a team that won 21-17 in Lincoln two years ago – this Saturday.  Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. Pre-game coverage starts at 2 p.m. on News Talk 900 KJSK and will be joined at 6:30 on KLIR 101.

The Big Ten has announced that Nebraska’s game at Illinois on September 21st will also kick off at 7 p.m.
