The initial lineup has been revealed for the star-studded Led Zeppelin tribute concert scheduled for March 7, 2018, at New York’s Carnegie Hall. British Invasion greats The Zombies, ex-Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora and his partner Orianthi, Living Colour and Tesla bassist Brian Wheat are among the confirmed artists who will perform at the show, dubbed “The Music of Led Zeppelin at Carnegie Hall.”
The concert is the latest in the annual series of “Music of” benefit tributes organized by New York City entrepreneur Michael Dorf. Other acts on this year’s bill include Dinosaur Jr. frontman J Mascis, O.A.R., Bettye LaVette, and Heartless Bastards singer Erika Wennerstrom. The show will feature a house band led by longtime Patti Smith bassist/keyboardist Tony Shanahan.
All of the proceeds from the concert will go toward various music-education programs for underprivileged children and young people. To date, the “Music of” series has raised more than $1.4 million.
