CHS Boys, Scotus Girls Cross Country Teams Make State

The Columbus High boys and the Scotus girls’ teams have qualified for next week’s state cross country meet.

The Discoverers finished second in yesterday’s B-3 district race at Seward.  Henry Adabo led CHS by finishing fourth individually.  The Columbus girls’ team placed fifth.

Boone Central/Newman Grove won the girls’ C-2 district meet in O’Neill, with the Shamrocks finishing second.  Two Lakeview girls – Ali Loseke and Makenna Frenzen – qualified for state individually.  Elliott Thomazin and Michael Gasper of Scotus and Lakeview’s Luis Neave earned trips to next Friday’s state meet.
