The What the Hell Tour is officially in the history books now, as Dierks Bentley, Cole Swindell, and Jon Pardi worked their final two dates this weekend in Colorado and New Mexico.
Along the way, Dierks and Cole scored a #1 hit together with “Flatliner,” and Cole says Dierks has taught him things he’ll continue to use for the rest of his career.
“I’ve toured with a lot of great artists,” the Georgia native says, “and he’s just another one on that list that I will learn from, and a lot of it will be personally.”
As Cole ascends to headliner status, he aims to emulate Dierks.
“We’re all on the same level,” he says of Dierks’ attitude. “He acts like me and Jon Pardi are the headliners with him every night. He’s just the most humble. I hope I can do it as long as Dierks and treat people the way he has, because he’s top-notch, first-class.”
Now that his summer tour has wrapped, Cole turns his focus toward crafting his third studio album. He’s just released “Stay Downtown” as the fourth single from You Should Be Here.
