AAA Reports 2017 Motorcycle Fatalities Already Over Last Years Numbers For Entire Year

LINCOLN- AAA has reported that this year has proven to be a tragic one for motorcyclists on Nebraska roadways.

As of July 24, traffic crashes have claimed the lives of 21 riders. This compares to 20 motorcycle fatalities for the entire year in 2016.  With three to four months remaining in the riding season, AAA is urging all motorists to stay alert and check twice for motorcycles before changing lanes, turning left, backing up, or pulling into traffic. Avoid distractions that take your mind and eyes off of the roadway. Never tailgate a motorcyclist.

Give them extra space as they may need to make sudden lane changes to avoid potholes or road debris.
