Creighton standout basketball player Maurice Watson has been suspended from all athletic-related activities by the school.
The Omaha World-Herald reports that Omaha police are investigating Watson in connection with an alleged sexual assault earlier this month. No charges had been filed.
CU stated in a press release that the suspension, which began February 13th, is “for alleged actions that are contrary to university policies and core values.”
Watson was a candidate for the Wooden Award as college basketball’s top player until he tore the ACL in his left knee on January 16th. At the time, the Bluejays were 18-1. They are 4-5 since Watson got hurt.
