Nebraska has hired Donte Williams as a defensive assistant. Williams is expected to coach cornerbacks, as he did this season at Arizona.
Coach Mike Riley said the 34-year old Williams will be a “dynamic addition” as a recruiter.
Riley, who fired special teams’ coordinator Bruce Read on November 27th, also said he probably will divide those duties among several assistants in 2017.
Williams will join the Huskers immediately and will help prepare the Blackshirts for their Music City Bowl matchup with Tennessee.
