Omaha, Neb., Sept 28, 2016 – Green Plains Inc. announced today that it completed its acquisition of
three Abengoa Bioenergy ethanol plants in Madison, Ill., Mount Vernon, Ind., and York, Neb. The
three plants are now owned and operated by Green Plains and will begin buying corn directly from
area growers under their wholly owned subsidiary Green Plains Grain LLC.
Green Plains Grain is committed to offering competitive prices and risk management tools for corn
growers. Green Plains Grain originates corn from area producers and offers a combined grain storage
capacity of 58 million bushels at Green Plains’ 17 ethanol plants and five grain elevators.
