Nebraska seniors Tommy Armstrong Jr. and Nate Gerry were named to watch lists for prestigious national awards Tuesday.
Armstrong Jr. was named to the watch list for the 80th annual Maxwell Award. It has been given to America’s college player of the year since 1937.
Gerry was named to the watch list for the Bednarik Award. It has been presented to the college defensive player of the year since 1995.
