Scotus Takes Third at Boys State Golf Tourney

The Scotus boys’ golf team finished third at the Class B state tournament. The Shamrocks carded a team score of 317 Wednesday for a two day total of 33-over, 636.

That was 17 strokes behind McCook, which won the state tourney at Pioneers Golf Course in Lincoln.  Senior Brandon Johnston led Scotus, tying for 12th place with a 13-over, 155.

In the Class D tournament, Humphrey St. Francis junior Trevor Kosch won his second state crown in three years.  Kosch fired a one-under 71 yesterday to finish with a plus-3, 147 at Lake Maloney Golf Course near North Platte
