Gov. Ricketts’ Presidents Day Statement

LINCOLN – Today, Governor Pete Ricketts issued the following statement in observance of Presidents Day which is celebrated on February 15, 2016.

 “For 137 years, Americans have honored some of our country’s most prominent statesmen on Presidents Day.  This month, we celebrate the birthdays of Presidents George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, and Ronald Reagan.  The work and dedication of these presidents to the principles of freedom and equality have shaped the direction of our country’s history, and is key to understanding who we are as Americans today.”
