Husker volleyball player Justine Wong-Orantes was named Monday as the Big Ten’s Co-Defensive Player of the Week.
Wong-Orantes led Nebraska to a 3-2 comeback win over number-one Penn State on Friday with a career-high 30 digs. She added 11 more digs in Saturday’s loss at Ohio State.
It’s the first weekly accolade for Wong-Orantes. The Huskers have won five Big Ten weekly honors, already matching last year’s total.
