Columbus Police Try To Identify Suspect In Hit And Run Accident

COLUMBUS- The Columbus Police Department is trying to identify a suspect and suspect vehicle in a hit and run accident.

The accident occurred on August 30th, 2015 around 2:00 pm in the 2200 block of 23rd Street. The suspect vehicle pulled out of US Bank and struck a westbound vehicle and then left the scene. The driver of the vehicle used the ATM at US Bank and was captured on video surveillance. Suspect was driving a light colored, possibly beige, early 90’s Honda Accord. Witness said the license plate was Nebraska and had either “EIN” or “IEN” on it. **CPD did contact US Bank and since the suspect is not a US Bank customer it just lists an account number. CPD is currently working to try to determine which bank the account is on which will take time. We are asking for your help to see if someone knows the suspect while we continue with the process.**
