Columbus Public Library Hopes To Raise $7 Million for Proposed Cultural Arts Center

COLUMBUS- The Columbus Public Library board hopes to raise more than $7 million by allowing people to name large spaces inside a proposed downtown library and cultural arts center.

Suggested donations for naming rights on 23 rooms range from $100,000 to $750,000. The sections include the children’s library, computer lab, art gallery and auditorium. Officials say naming the entire library comes with the price tag of $1 million.

The sale of naming rights is expected to raise around 43 percent of the estimated $17.5 million needed to complete the project.
