This year’s Lamb Lovers Month Recipes for Romance campaign and contest is a Facebook-based contest designed to inspire consumers to cook American Lamb in February. Just like Sunday Funday, consumers will be led to a contest landing page/”app” where they will be asked to fill out a short survey to determine their Lamb Language of Love. After completing the survey, consumers will receive a list of custom menus and recipes for romance, and be entered to win a romantic weekend getaway for two to NYC valued at $2,500 (airfare, hotel and restaurants). The American Lamb Board will also randomly select two people each week throughout February to receive different cuts of American Lamb.
The contest will be promoted through Facebook and YouTube advertising with a new Lamb Lovers Month video. The ALB is also partnering with Food52 to promote the contest via Facebook, Twitter and dedicated content on their site and in their newsletter. Food52 is a recipe site that has more 3.2 million unique visitors; more than 200,000 Facebook fans; and 310,000 Twitter followers. Check out Food52 @ www.food52.com.
