It was a rough night on the softball diamond for Columbus High and Lakeview Monday.

The Discoverers fell in both ends of a home doubleheader against Lincoln East.  The Spartans only needed three innings in both games to win by scores of 18-2 and 16-3.

Columbus is now 5-20 and will play a twinbill at Norfolk today.

Meantime, the Vikings were shutout 9-0 at Crete.  Lakeview actually out-hit the Cardinals 3-2, but also committed eight errors in four innings compared to none for the home club.

The Vikings are 7-11 and are set to host North Bend Central this evening.
