November Trial Set For Cattle Thieves

Neligh, NE ~~ Two people wanted for selling cattle they did not own to a Platte County couple will go to trial in November.   The November 17th trial date was set Wednesday with a pre-trial hearing to be held in September. 

22-year-old Rebecca Robbins and 27-year-old Ben Johnson were arrested on July 15th in Platte County.  The two allegedly sold 35 cows and 40 calves that they did not own from Antelope County to a Platte County couple.  The Cattle were valued at about $100,000.  

The Livestock were returned to the owner in Antelope County.
