Prairie Brand Seed Expands Seeds Business

Story City, IA  (May 28, 2014) — Prairie Brand Seed is adding to its team to serve growers in five states including Iowa, Nebraska, Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota. On May 22, 2014, Renze Seeds became part of Prairie Brand Seed. The alignment of the two seed companies, both owned by Dow AgroSciences, under a single brand will build on Prairie Brand’s growth across the region.

Prairie Brand Seed General Manager Dan Kallem said the company will continue to focus on delivering progressive seed solutions that address growers’ needs. “Prairie Brand is committed to connecting the world-class genetic research, trait development and other seed innovations of Dow AgroSciences with the specific seed needs of each customer we serve,” Kallem said.

Prairie Brand Seed gains expanded distribution capacity and additional manpower with the strategic integration of Renze Seeds. The alignment also provides growers throughout the five-state region with access to a full agronomy staff and more marketing support. “Adding Renze Seeds increases our critical mass, and allows us to provide even more information and resources to the customers we serve. We look forward to sharing new products and services with farmers throughout the region,” Kallem said.

The Prairie Brand team is working closely with its customers to make the integration seamless, and encourages growers to visit one of its summer plot events to learn about the latest innovations in high-performance seed technology.
