Washingon, D.C.~~Congressman Adrian Smith has announced a contest for high school students in the state's 3rd district to create a new software app for smartphone, tablet or computer devices. The competition is designed to promote innovation and engagement in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) among high school students. Students may participate individually or in teams of up to four. Those entering the competition must provide a YouTube or VIMEO video explaining their app and what they learned through the competition process. The deadline for submissions for the House Student App Challenge is March 30.
