CPS Board Of Education Passes Bond Issue Resolution

Columbus, NE~~The Columbus Public Schools Board of Education unanimously passed a bond issue resolution Thursday morning to build a new high school in Columbus.  The project would cost $49,915,000 and calls for a levy increase of 4.5 cents.  Superintendent of Schools Dr. Troy Loeffelholz says the average price of a home in Columbus is $111,754, meaning the average homeowner would pay $50.30 more per year or $4.20 more per month.  The vote on the bond issue will held on Tuesday May 13th.
