The Ag Committee of the Columbus Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that Nathan Koffman of the Omaha Branch of the Kansas City Federal Reserve Bank is coming to Columbus to speak on January 17th. The program will be at noon, at the Farm Credit Services building, Lost Creek Parkway.
The public is invited to attend. Lunch will be provided. However, you need to RSVP for meal planning. Call the Chamber Office at 402-564-2769 to RSVP by 5 p.m. on January 16th.
Mr. Koffman will be highlighting the Ag Economy of the region. His talk is titled: “Farm Investment and Leverage Cycles: Will This Time Be Different?” He will be looking at past periods of Ag prosperity and contrasting that to the current era. The Ag Economy is the driver of the economy of Nebraska. This talk will highlight where we’ve been and where we might go based on past events.
Both producers and area businesses have a stake in the Ag economy. I hope you can find time to hear what the Federal Reserve Bank has to say about this issue.
The Ag Committee of the Columbus Chamber strives to provide information and education for the broad Ag Industry of our area. The committee works to improve public understanding of today’s agriculture. We are working to include all Ag based businesses and Ag producers in our membership.
