MADISON, Neb. - Madison County authorities are investigating a two-vehicle crash along Highway 81 near Madison that injured two people.
It happened around 7:30am Thursday. The Madison County Sheriff’s Office says 31-year-old Ryan Sorenson of Norfolk failed to yield at 831st Road and was struck a vehicle driven by 24-year-old Grant Wiemer of Creston.
Both men were taken area hospitals for their injuries. Wiemer was transported by his family to hospital for knee pain, while Sorenson had to be LifeFlighted with possible head injuries.
The Nebraska State Patrol, Madison County Sheriff’s Office, Madison Fire and Rescue, and LifeNet all responded to the scene.
