2-14-12, OMAHA, Neb. (AP) - Sentencing for a former Schuyler Central High School teacher in a federal child pornography case has been delayed.A judge in Omaha granted 27-year-old Jesse Harmon a continuance last week because his new attorney was called to a separate jury trial.
Harmon faces sentencing on a charge of receipt of children pornography. He was to be sentenced on Jan. 19, but he fired his attorney.
Harmon admitted to exchanging a series of sexually explicit text messages and photos with a 16-year-old student.
Harmon is expected to be sentenced to 12 years in prison on Feb. 27 as part of plea deal for charges of sexual exploitation of a juvenile and possession of child pornography being dropped.
