1-31-12, Dick has been appointed to the position of York County Attorney permanently today, during a meeting of the York County Board of Commissioners.
“We felt that Candice was the best candidate for that job,” said York County Commissioner Kurt Bulgrin in a phone interview shortly after the board’s decision. “(She has) experience at the (York) county attorney’s office and her ability to work under pressure and she knows law enforcement very well.”
Dick will take the oath of office today at 2:30pm. She replaces Bill Sutter, who was vote out in a recall election in December, after being accused of inappropriate behavior and inadequately performing his duties.
