1-31-12, COLUMBUS, Neb. - Columbus Area Chamber of Commerce President K.C. Belitz is hearing the same thing during trips around the country to draw workers to Columbus. They’re willing to move for work, but don’t have the funds to do so. He says in a recent article that rural communities like Columbus have jobs to offer, but no one to fill them.
Belitz feels there needs to be some sort of a solution, even suggesting a possible advance in federal unemployment benefits to help with relocation.
