Teen killed, two injured in Columbus crash



COLUMBUS, Neb. - Alcohol is believed to be a factor in a fatal Columbus crash.
 
A one-vehicle accident on Highway 30 claims the life of 19-year-old Candice Randall-Stewart. The accident occurred around 2:30 Sunday morning when a vehicle, driven by 21-year-old Genaro Anaya, was traveling at a high rate of speed, lost control, and rolled several times near WalMart.
 
Randall-Stewart was pronounced dead at the scene. Two others, 22-year-old Zachary Tharnish and 18-year-old Skye Butterfield, were injured and taken to Columbus Community Hospital.
 
Anaya was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, willful reckless driving, and motor vehicle homicide.
