1-25-12, WASHINGTON - Nebraska delegates are giving their comments regarding President Obama’s State of the Union Address, including Democratic Senator Ben Nelson“The President’s proposals tonight and other ideas from Congress are all headed to the dust bin of history unless Washington ends its job-killing gridlock,” said Nelson in a statement follow the President’s speech Tuesday.
Republican delegates also responded. Congressman Jeff Fortenberry said the President made, “a litany of unsustainable and contradictory policy statements that suggested a concentration of power in Washington.”
Fortenberry added he found statements made regarding what he termed “a federal takeover of education… very troublesome.”
