1-24-12, COLUMBUS, Neb. - Platte County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a Columbus-area burglary.
 
Some $4,500 dollars worth of items were stolen from a home on 55^th Street Thursday.
 
Authorities are warning that recent burglaries indicate a person may approach a residence to see if someone is home and ask for directions if someone answers.
