G.I. City Council asks for return of grant money



1-11-12, GRAND ISLAND, Neb. - Give back the money. That’s what Grand Island City leaders are asking Structured Solutions to do.
 
The Grand Island City Council gave the company a $600,000 dollar grant to help start the high-tech business, Sedona Lender Services.
 
Under the contract to obtain the grant money, Structured Solutions promised to create 50 new jobs by December 31st of last year. But only six were created.
 
Structured Solutions asked for more time but the city council said no by a 6 to 3 vote.
