Thursday’s through May 17-Thursday story time & story art with Mr. H and the Columbus Art gallery will take place from 10-11:30 and 1:30-3pm in the children’s room of the Columbus Public Library.
 
Friday’s through Good Friday, April 6-The Silver Creek American Legion will host a fish fry from 6-9pm
 
Friday, February 17 through Sunday, February 19-Scotus Central Catholic presents the musical “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoats with 3 performances on Friday and Saturday at 7pm and Sunday at 2pm at Scotus Memorial Hall in Columbus.
 
Sunday, February 19-The Knights of Columbus Council 938 will host a soup supper in Columbus from 5-7pm.  Proceeds to St. Bon’s Youth and Spiritual activities.
 
Sunday, February 19-The 2012 Kolache Shoot Out at the Elba High School gym.  Registration for the bake show is from 9-11am new class this year is “first timers”.  Judging starts at 11am with awards from 1:30-2:30pm.  FMI call 308-750-2665

Now-->Saturday, December 31, 2012-Youth for Christ Columbus is looking for mentors for teen moms, rolls of duct tape for taping down cords and carpet, and Campus Life games, candy bars and Gatorade, bottled water and pop and volunteers to provide meals for hungry kids after school. Now-->Saturday, December 31, 2012-If you know of a woman currently undergoing chemotherapy, there is a free house cleaning, once a month for 4 months while she is in treatment. This is a nation wide program supported by area cleaning businesses. FMI go to www.cleaningforareason.org

Now-->Saturday, December 31, 2012-The American Cancer Society will assist cancer patients with a wig bank at Heads & Beds in Albion. Patients wishing to look at available wigs should contact Sheila at 402-395-6581 or stop by the shop between 9-6pm.

A military Family support group will be held the 3rd Sunday of each month from 1-3pm at the Prairie Valley Red Cross in Columbus. FMI call 564-8314 or 866-564-8314

The Fullerton Head Start is accepting applications for the 2011-12 school year. The program is free for families that are accepted. FMI call 308-536-3127

La Leche League of York will host a free breast feeding support group for pregnant and nursing moms and babies from 7-9pm at the Kilgore Memorial Library on the third Tuesday of each month. FMI call Gloria at 402-362-6875

The Columbus Senior Center will host a monthly Family Caregiver Support Group meeting on the 4th Tuesday of the month from 1:30-3pm.

The 1st Saturday of the month from 7:30-10am the 6th Graders at St. Isidore Grade School will host a recycling day.
