COLUMBUS, Neb. - The Columbus City Council approved an ordinance for the development of a Business Improvement District for the downtown revitalization project.
Councilman John Lohr says it’s just the tip of the iceberg.
“You have an area of town that has good, solid buildings that have commerce available already and to not bring them up to their highest and best use would be doing a disservice to the public,” Lohr told the Columbus City Council Tuesday just prior to a unanimous vote on the ordinance.
The ordinance would recoup some $18,000 dollars for phase one of the project.
