Gloriana's Rachel Reinert Drew on Real-Life Betrayal to Perform Their New Single

Image Courtesy Warner Music NashvilleGloriana's Rachel Reinert didn't have to get into character to sing the trio's latest single, "Trouble," since the song came from her real-life experience. Rachel co-wrote the song with band mate Mike Gossin about an ex-boyfriend who cheated on her about two years ago.Rachel tells ABC News Radio, "We dated for a couple years. I ended up finding out that he was cheating on me, which I did suspect. He, of course, lied about it, which, shocker, right?"Like anybody, Rachel can be nice and sweet, but it's a different story when a guy does her wrong."If you cross me, then then I'm gonna make you pay for it," Rachel adds.Mike and Gloriana's third member, Tom Gossin, had a bad feeling about Rachel's ex-boyfriend from the start, though.Says Mike, "We had suspicions about this guy, I'll leave it at that, that he was not the best fit for her."It was Mike who suggested Rachel channel her anger about the cheating into a song, and that's how "Trouble" was born. He's now very proud of her for being open and honest about what she went through.Mike explains, "The fact that she was cool enough to put down that wall and open herself up and put herself out there -- tell her story for people to hear and to relate to and hopefully help through a cheating situation, whether it's boy or girl, I think, is the best part of the whole situation."Gloriana's new single, "Trouble," hits the airwaves soon.Follow @ABCNewsRadio !function(d,s,id){var js,fjs=d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];if(!d.getElementById(id)){js=d.createElement(s);js.id=id;js.src="http://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js";fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js,fjs);}}(document,"script","twitter-wjs");Copyright 2014 ABC News Radio

Tim McGraw to Perform on "A Very Grammy Christmas" Special

Nino Munoz/Big Machine RecordsFor the past several years, CBS has been airing The Grammy Nominations Concert Live!, a special that reveals the Grammy nominations in the top categories, interspersed with live performances.  This year, however, the network is changing things up.Tim McGraw, along with pop stars Maroon 5, Pharrell Williams and Ariana Grande, will all perform on A Very Grammy Christmas, a one-hour special that will replace the Grammy nominations concert show.  The show, taping November 18 in L.A., will air December 5, and also will reveal the nominees for the Grammys' prestigious Album of the Year category. The rest of the nominations -- 82 out of a total of 83 categories -- will be revealed the morning of December 5, in a way that has yet to be announced. The presence of Tim on the show likely indicates that the Grammy folks consider him a good bet for a nomination.  His current album Sundown Heaven Town is eligible for nomination.Tickets to attend the taping at the Shrine Auditorium are now on sale via Ticketmaster.Follow @ABCNewsRadio!function(d,s,id){var js,fjs=d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];if(!d.getElementById(id)){js=d.createElement(s);js.id=id;js.src="http://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js";fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js,fjs);}}(document,"script","twitter-wjs");Copyright 2014 ABC News Radio

Glen Campbell's Musical Legacy and Alzheimer's Disease Chronicled in New Film, "

Image Courtesy PCH FilmsGlen Campbell's Goodbye Tour is captured in the new documentary film, Glen Campbell: I'll Be Me, opening in select theaters Friday. The movie chronicles Glen's diagnosis with Alzheimer's Disease in 2011 and the 151 shows he played until the disease made it impossible for him to go on performing last year.I'll Be Me doesn't shy away from showing Glen's descent into dementia, but it also serves as a reminder of the multi-platinum career that put Glen Campbell in the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2005.Scenes from The Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour variety show on CBS and his acting role in the western True Grit are included in the movie along with vintage performances of his signature hits, "Rhinestone Cowboy," "By the Time I Get to Phoenix" and many more. The film also shines a light on Glen's role as a session guitarist on classic songs from The Beach Boys, Elvis Presley, Frank Sinatra and many more acts.Brad Paisley, Keith Urban, Bruce Springsteen, Blake Shelton and Paul McCartney are among the stars singing Glen's praises in I'll Be Me. Footage of Glen's performance at the 2012 Grammy Awards with Blake and The Band Perry is also included, and The Band Perry's Kimberly Perry tells ABC News Radio it was very humbling to be in Glen's presence. She says, "I always feels like he's just a living piece of history, a lot like Loretta Lynn and Dolly Parton."Her brother Neil Perry recalls Glen giving it his all, even at the rehearsals for their Grammy Awards performance."He was getting ready to play 'Rhinestone Cowboy,'" Neil says, "and I remember before he did, he took his guitar off, someone handed him an actual rhinestone jacket. He put it on, and then played the song, just for rehearsals. So, that was pretty cool to see that. Kind of him get in character, you know?"The Band Perry performs a special version of Glen's hit, "Gentle on My Mind," featured in I'll Be Me as well.Glen Campbell's children, Ashley and Shannon, played in their father's bad on The Goodbye Tour. Even though they knew their dad was a living legend, meeting his fans on the road made a huge impression on them.Ashley tells ABC News Radio, "Just [to] hear their own stories of what the show meant to them, and what Glen Campbell means to them. It was just so inspiring to know that my dad had inspired so many people. "Glen's wife, Kim Campbell, hopes I'll Be Me introduces Glen's music and legacy to an entirely new generation of fans. She says, "A lot of people aren't even aware that he's one of the greatest guitar players that ever lived, and that he's played on so many hits before -- as part of the Wrecking Crew -- before he was ever a solo artist himself. He maybe didn't get the credit that he deserved for so many years. Reba Almost Finished with a Brand-New Album, Due Out Next Year

Image Courtesy CMAReba is on the home stretch of recording a brand-new album, expected to come out in 2015. She announced plans for the project Tuesday morning in Nashville, saying fans can expect to hear her interpreting songs from Nashville's best songwriters on the new project."It's just a huge thrill for me to have this outlet to get these songwriters' stories out to the public," Reba says. "I’m always kind of like the water hose. I'm the conduit from the songwriters' heart and soul, what they write and conceive, and then to get it out to the fans. I love that part."Though any songwriter would tailor-make a song for Reba, she took some chances on recording a few songs written from a male perspective. She pulled that off on her 1995 covers album, Starting Over, taking on material originally recorded by Glen Campbell, Ray Price, and Michael McDonald, among others. Still, Reba's husband and manager, Narvel Blackstock, was hesitant about some of the new songs at first.Reba explains, "I'd play him this demo, and I'd say, 'What do you think?' He'd say, 'Uh huh. That's a guy song. I don't know how it's going to sound with you singing it.' I get in the studio, and he said, "OK. You made it your own.'"The new album will feature a variety of moods and sounds, though. Says Reba, "We've got happy, sad, slow, fast. Got a drinking song in there. And for the first time in a long time, I've got a love song. A true, to the heart and soul love song."The best part of this new project for Reba is giving her fans her first new album since 2010's All the Women I Am."They're gonna be very excited to have new music coming out," Reba explains. "They've been with me through thick and thin, Broadway, television, movies, back to music. They're my team. The whole record felt sassy."The band members and their producer, Jay Joyce, didn't set any boundaries on how they wanted the album to sound, so there was a sense of freedom during the recording process. Band member Jimi Westbrook says there was a rebellious spirit in the studio, though they weren't rebelling against anything in particular.Describing their approach in the studio, Jimi says, "Let's not put boundaries, and let's just make some music and not be afraid to take it to a different place and to push it and go further and see what happens."Some of Little Big Town's musical experiments got a little bizarre, but the group's Karen Fairchild explains those detours were essential to finding the right sounds for the album.Karen says, "It's fun to be in there and expressing ourselves. And yeah, sometimes we take it too far in the studio, and the moments that go too far, you don't hear."That creative approach led to the distinct whistling and marching band sounds on "Day Drinking," which is an indication of how much fun LBT still have creating music together."There are moments that are full of tension," Jimi admits, "and you're trying to figure out things, and you've got a lot of people in the room that care, and have different opinions, so it can be tension, but I love that part of it. And that is fun to me."It looks like all that hard work paid off for Little Big Town according to some of their famous friends who got an advance listen to Pain Killer. Martina McBride called the album "absolutely brilliant" while David Nail tweeted it "sounds like one of the coolest records I've heard." Blake Shelton weighed in saying, "I just heard some what WILL be one of the most important albums in county music history… Congratulations and thank you @littlebigtown!!!"Follow @ABCNewsRadio !function(d,s,id){var js,fjs=d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];if(!d.getElementById(id)){js=d.createElement(s);js.id=id;js.src="http://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js";fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js,fjs);}}(document,"script","twitter-wjs");Copyright 2014 ABC News Radio
