Seward Community Grieving

The Seward community and the wrestling families are grieving the loss of long-time assistant coach Jeramie Schoepf, who worked for the city of Seward Street Maintenance Department, died a week after a tree branch fell on him as he cleared trees for an expansion of a city recreational trail.

A fiery presence on the wrestling mat, Schoepf, 36, had coached for 11 years at Seward High School.  Grief counselors will be at the school all week.  His funeral is scheduled for Friday, 10am at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church
