Quarantine Lifted At Columbus Nursing Home



Columbus, NE~~The East Central Health District says a quarantine has been lifted at a Columbus nursing home after a respiratory illness sickened 59 people and contributed to 5 deaths. 

ECHD Executive Director Rebecca Rayman says the situation involving mycoplasma pneumonia is now under control.  The district was first notified of a high number of respiratory illness on June 19th.  

Rayman adds that they do expect to see cases in the community over the next 30 days.
