1-24-12, WASHINGTON (AP) - Nebraska Supreme Court Judge John Gerrard is now a federal judge. The U.S. Senate confirmed him Monday.
 
President Barack Obama nominated Gerrard in May to be U.S. District judge for the District of Nebraska.
 
Gerrard will succeed District Judge Richard Kopf, who retired last month.
