Fremont woman sentenced for role in safe heist

1-25-12, FREMONT, Neb. (AP) — A Nebraska woman is going to prison for her role in stealing a safe containing $40,000 in cash, jewelry and other items from a house in Fremont.

26-year-old Dezarae Flagle, of Cedar Bluffs, was sentenced to 5 to 6 years in prison for burglary on Monday in Dodge County District Court.

Prosecutors say Flagle was involved in getting a key to the house and taking the safe last September.

During sentencing, Flagle said she spent $1,000 a day on methamphetamine after the burglary.
