Residents in the Columbus School District have passed a $49.9 million bond. Described by many as a must need to see improvements in the district, teachers, parents and students canvassed the campaign trail to get the word out on the need for the upgrade.
Just two years ago residents voted down a similar bond issue for a new middle school. This bond issue will allow for the building of a new state of the art high school in the same location as the proposed middle school bond. The current high school will be converted to the middle school upon completion of the new building.
